A little warrior
I found out during the course of my time with Jonah’s family, that he has a heart defect. Mat and Michelle found out before he was born that their baby would need surgery in his first year of life to correct this defect. When he was born, the doctors told his parents how strong little Alex was and what to be aware of, but indeed he is a strong little boy and perfection to work with during our newborn session.
If you live in Lancaster, newborn photos are worth the drive to Orange County!
In between countless doctor’s appointments before and after delivery, this family drove all the way from Lancaster. Newborn photos are something they value which is why they came all that way for meetings and their newborn session in Orange County. When I first met them, not realizing the distance of the drive, I asked how traffic was. They laughed and told me it took 5 hours to get to me. I thought they were joking. But this was no joke! I am so honored they chose me as their newborn photographer and that I was able to create the photographs they envisioned for their child.
Choosing colors for the session.
Michelle asked for all neutrals in Jonah’s session. I love bright and colorful newborn photography but I do also love neutrals. Black was the priority and I realized I have never photographed a baby in this color before now! Turns out I absolutely adore the black and grey color combo – it really draws your eye right to Jonah’s sweet face! It is always fun to play with new color palates and challenge myself when it comes to styling. Here are the results!
