One of the top questions I am asked is “what do clients usually do with the photos?” People want to know which photo session artwork they will best enjoy. To start, I’ll focus on newborn, maternity and family photos. There are most definitely many options. Current offerings for all sessions include a folio box with 8×10 matted prints, heirloom quality photo albums, and a variety of wall art products.
For the growing families I service, the number one product parents love is a beautiful gallery wall. This is a collection of multiple pieces of wall art that hangs together in a special place in your home. Every family finds the gallery wall to be perfect. This is because it can be customized with 3-10 or more photos to best fit the space we are working with. First, we create beautiful images. Next, using special software, I share a rendering of the images on the walls in your home. You can truly envision them in your space, and make selections you know you’ll be happy with. Photography is a very visual field after all!
The custom approach to wall art is what parents love best. Some of the many options for your selections include fully custom sizing, canvases, frames with a variety of moldings, color or black and white images, and different arrangements. While no decisions need to be made up front regarding artwork, it is always discussed in your pre-session consult as styling choices for the session often sync up with the frame styles. Framing styles include both wood and metal, in a variety of colors, depths, and designs from traditional to contemporary. Canvases are a non-framed option that provides a modern look.
For those who fall in love with more images than could fit on their walls, albums are also a beautiful choice. My personal favorite is a 12×12 30-image book cloth album with a custom photo cover. To begin with, this is an heirloom quality album. It is a product that my own family enjoys with our photo session images. The best part is flipping through old albums with the kids. They light up seeing the images from years passed as we retell stories of the times we hold most dear. Next, all albums come with thick lay flat pages that have feel worthy of holding such precious memories. Lastly, the custom layout features your favorite photos from each session and the cover can be customized with an image or text. A coordinating album case completes this product to further protect your precious memories.
When is comes to photos of you and your baby, you’re probably also going to want to share the photos with friends and family. For this reason, gift prints and digital images are popular add-ons to your initial artwork collection. The gift prints come standard in a boutique box, making them a beautiful piece to give to loved ones who are just as excited for your new arrival. Digital images may also be shared online and enjoyed with a beautiful slideshow set to music.
