Last month, I had the honor of traveling to the place I grew up: Bay Area California for a beautiful newborn photo session. Not only was I able to visit many members of my own family on this journey, I reconnected with a past wedding photography client to photograph their baby girl.
When this mother contacted me to ask if I would consider making the trip from my OC photo studio up to the bay, I immediately said yes! While it is a little bit more of a puzzle to figure out the timing of sessions that include travel (plus the fact that babies don’t often come on their due date), I’m always happy to talk about traveling to a client for an in-home newborn session – no matter how far.
This extended newborn session consisted of a whopping NINE different looks for baby, plus family photos. When Mom contacted me to book a session, what she wanted most was my adorable fox set up. This little fox hat is often requested and I now even have a baby fox lovie that another client made – it’s darling and a must for any woodland critter loving family.
In addition to the fox, the parents opted for a lot of blues and grey. I was able to complete 3 different looks in this color scheme and went on to add in some variety with a couple yellow set ups, some green, and last but not least, a floral lacy pink for a final image of this sweet baby girl.
All in all I love the variety I was able to achieve – and it
lent itself extremely well to Mom’s vision of a collage of images on the wall –
all featuring a different main color.
